1851 Historic Maple
Hill Manor B&B, Alpaca Farm, and Fiber Farm

is located on 2941 Perryville Road (US 150
East).
Enjoy our Farm - we have an Orchard of 100+
Fruit Trees, 200+ Raspberry Bushes, and a
Wildlife & Nature Reserve. We also raise Alpacas
and Llamas! We specialize in Suri Alpacas which
represent only 2% of the overall Alpaca
population in the world. Maple Hill Manor is the
first farm in Kentucky to raise "Purely Suris" -
both Suri Alpacas and Suri Llamas! These rare
and exotic South American animals are as
beautiful as they are fascinating. The fleece of
the Alpaca, especially the Suri Breed, is
considered to be one of the finest fibers in the
world! Specializing in the breeding, boarding,
showing, selling, as well as raw fiber, finished
luxury fashions, yarn, and gift items. Guests of
all ages enjoy these wonderful animals - whether
it's an overnight stay or a brief Farm Visit.

Koenig Farm, Spinnery & Yarn Shop is
located at 2811 Beechland Road.
At Koenig
Farm, Spinnery & Yarn Shop you will find 115
friendly Angora Goats, a Spinning Mill and yarn
shop. The Angora Goats share their mohair with
us twice a year. First we shear the mohair and
gently wash it. Then, the mohair fiber is carded
and spun into yarn at our spinning mill. After
the yarn is spun we either keep it natural or it
is hand painted with brushes into a wide
spectrum of luscious colors for our customer's
knitting, crocheting and weaving pleasure. Come
and visit with the Angora goats, tour the
spinning mill to see how yarn is made and shop
in our yarn shop packed full of wonderful soft
yarns, knitting goodies & gadgets, spinner's
rovings, hand painted silk scarves, spinning
wheels, patterns and projects just waiting for
some one to start.

Campbell's West
Wind Farm is located at 2888 Bardstown Road/US 150.
Specializing in all stages of
wool production, spinning, and felting. Various classes
on wool, weaving, spinning, and more. Sales of wool
jackets, shawls, scarves, sculptures, and other
figurines. Tours welcomed. Wool Gathering Festival on
second Saturday in September each year. Open by
appointment.

Springfield serves as
a historical marker for the Civil War for
both the Union and the Confederacy. Soldiers
from both sides of the war passed through
here on their way to the Battle of
Perryville. |

A Covered Bridge |

Mt. Zion Covered Bridge is one of the
longest multi-spans in Kentucky. It was
built in 1871-1872 and is on KY 248. |
The
Lincoln Homestead State Park, located at
5079 Lincoln Park Road, has an18-hole
regulation course that accents the gentle,
rolling hills of this historic setting. The
course features a pro-shop with golf
merchandise and equipment, rental clubs,
driving carts, pull carts and a snack bar.
It is open year-round. A fee is charged for
use of this facility.

| The
Washington County Courthouse is located
at Main & Cross Streets. It is the oldest
continuously operating Courthouse in
Kentucky. It was completed in 1816 and is
the site of the original Thomas Lincoln and
Nancy Hanks Marriage Records (parents of
Abraham Lincoln). |
The Opera House
(circa 1900) is located at 124 West Main
Street. It houses a welcome center,
crafter's market and the Main
Street/Renaissance,
SWEDA. The Springfield-Washington
County Chamber of Commerce offices are
located on the first floor. The
original Opera House facility - dubbed John
R. Barber Auditorium - is on the second
floor and is the location of a variety of
events. Some past events include the Fund
the Finishes concert series, New Year's
Eve Gala, and the local Children's Theatre.

Mordecai Lincoln House is located on KY
258. The Mordecai Lincoln House was
built in 1797 by Mordecai Lincoln, the
oldest son of Captain Abraham Lincoln and
the uncle of President Lincoln. The Mordecai
Lincoln House is the only extant structure
owned and occupied by a member of the
Lincoln family in Kentucky that still stands
on its original site and in a largely
unaltered condition. The house is part of
the Lincoln Homestead State Park but is
located approximately one mile from the
group of structures that comprise the main
visitor destination. The Mordecai Lincoln
House is listed in the National Register of

1851 Historic Maple Hill Manor is
located at 2941 Perryville Road. This
stately mansion is a Kentucky Landmark
Home and is listed on the National Register
of Historical Places, circa 1851. All rooms
have private baths. The Honeymoon Suite has
a jacuzzi, canopy bed and private entrance.
A full country breakfast, homemade dessert
and beverage is served in the evening.

Lake/Fishing
Willisburg Lake is
126 Acres great for fishing (Largemouth Bass,
Bluegill, Green Sunfish, Redear Sunfish, White
Crappie, Yellow Bullhead, Channel Catfish, White
Sucker), boating with a ramp (fee) and boat rental,
and camping.

St. Catharine Motherhouse is located on
US 150. The motherhouse was
established in 1822 by the 1st U.S.
Community Dominican Sisters. The
Museum is open daily and is Free to
the public. |
St. Rose Church & Proto-Priory is
located on KY 152. It was established
in 1806 and is the site of first Catholic
School West of the Allegeny Mountains. Among
its students was Jefferson Davis, President
of the Confederacy. It is open daily from
9-6 and is Free to the public. |
State Park

Lincoln Homestead State
Park is located at 5079 Lincoln Park Road.
The Park preserves the pioneer heritage of President
Abraham Lincoln's parents, Thomas Lincoln and Nancy
Hanks. Within the park grounds are a reproduction of
the cabin that was the boyhood home of Lincoln's
father, and the actual house in which the
President's mother lived during her courtship with
Thomas Lincoln. Split rail fences and pioneer
furniture made by Thomas Lincoln and his
contemporaries complete the picture of life in the
rugged Lincoln era.
