As posted on the Bicentennial Celebration of the Wedding of Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks website:

The Lincoln-Hanks Wedding Celebration Committee has begun preparations for the June 14, 2008 re-enactment of the Wedding Celebration of Thomas Lincoln and Nancy Hanks as part of the nation's celebration of the Bicentennial of the birth of Abraham Lincoln.

June 3, 2006 was a tremendous first step in letting America know that Washington County and Kentucky intend to reclaim the Lincoln heritage.
The Wedding Celebration highlighted a point in history that forever changed our nation.

The twenty-eight historical  interpreters provided an educational opportunity for old and young alike.  Guests left  Lincoln Park on June 3, 2006  with a  true feel for American and Kentucky life in the early days of this great state and nation.

Plan to join us on June 14, 2008 for this Wedding Celebration!
